Why the Myer Centre is much more than shopping.

The Myer Centre is no ordinary shopping centre – not to South Australians. It’s as quintessentially SA as visiting Jetty Road. If you grew up here, Myer Centre is as much a place of memories as it is a shopping centre.

It was never just for shopping. When it opened its doors in 1991, the Myer Centre had a rollercoaster inside. Yes, a rollercoaster, nostalgically known as Dazzeland. It was the only indoor rollercoaster in Australia, making it a sight to behold and reason alone to visit.

While Dazzeland closed a few years later, the magic of the Myer Centre has lived on. In 2023, the Centre revealed a new face, with an exterior that illuminates at night – making more of a statement on Rundle Mall. This is the start of a series of design refurbishments that will be rolled out, externally and internally.

It’s next level!

With 60+ speciality and big-name shops, Adelaide’s famous food court and the visual upgrade, the Myer Centre is as much an events venue as it is a retail hub.

We’re redefining retail, enhancing the shopping experience pop-up events, exhibitions, and surprising activations like Banksy, Bluey, and Fashion Week.

It’s a place for everyone and all ages. Unlike other shopping centres with premium brands that attract a certain demographic, the Myer Centre is inclusive for all – students, families, professionals, and tourists.

It’s a place to meet, eat, shop, park and hang out, in the heart of the city.

Like no other location

There’s nowhere like the Myer Centre, a six-level shopping centre on Adelaide’s famous pedestrian mall, Rundle Mall. You can park underneath the centre and enjoy all the city has to offer.

You’re in the centre of it all, not in the suburbs like other centres.

Myer Centre is a piece of South Australia’s history. It has a 34-year history on a tourist mall that’s half a century old and visited by millions per year.

The Centre is steps away from the tram, which cuts through the city, connects to the Glenelg Beach and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. This means a visit to the Myer Centre can turn into a full day or night out, rather than simply a shopping trip.

If you’re coming into the city for food, the footy, a festival, the zoo, an art gallery, an event, a lecture or anything else, start or end at the Myer Centre. Meet here, park here, eat here or stay here.

It’s so much more than shopping.

Make it your starting point in the city.
